What is it PASSCAN F-2000TM
PASSCAN F-2000TM performs reading, recognition and inputting data from specific machine-readable zone of documents (a passport, visa, ID, etc.) in line with DOC 9303/2 ICAO standard, with a fingerprint identification option.

Application
- Border migration control automated systems
- Verification of machine-readable zone of documents in accordance with DOC 9303/2 ICAO standard
- Security system access control
- Hotel and travel business (automatic filling up of forms to ensure faster servicing)
Symbol recognition
- Recognition algorithm: based on neural network with elements of artificial intelligence
- OCR recognition: no more than one error per 50,000 symbols.
- Error Recognition Rejection Rate: no more than one per 50,000 symbols.
- Two-line machine-readable passport zone (88 symbols) recognition time: no more than 2 seconds.
- The recognition algorithm can be upgraded offshore (via the Internet) to involve new symbols and characters.

BENEFITS |
Supersmall overall dimensions and power consumption.
No additional power supply (power supply +5V from a PC)
No frame grabber, since all components are in the scanner
The use of the most advanced techniques available in manufacturing
High resistance of neural network recognition algorithm to symbol distortion, caused by document soiling or by laminate patching
Offshore servicing opportunity (not available in other manufacturers!) which presumes advising the manufacturer of errors occurring in the course of reading of substandard characters and accumulating over time. The manufacturer makes relevant adjustments within 24 hours so that the system can become more “intelligent”. This in its turn rules out recognition failures in case the document does not meet the DOC 9303/2 ICAO standard.
