What is it ONYX
The ONYX provides automated servicing of the key activities of large- scale enterprises (corporations, holdings, etc.)
The main concept is to share a common information environment. Each self- supporting enterprise unit has access to its own data only and the open data. Access to the whole information has only the head office which consolidates the data. The corporative information system collects and processes information concerning the economic activity of the enterprise units. This provides the basis for operative decisions dealing with both specific units and the whole enterprise as well as for longer- term business processes.
The distinguishing feature of ONYX is that it is designed and put into operation with the help of Internet/ Intranet technology.
Internet/ Intranet solutions make it possible to work with data both in a local and global network to get an update on the status of business activity. All interface adjustment, access rights, product update are performed and granted by the central office administrator which makes the user technical support and its introduction in remote areas very cost- effective. External information sources- suppliers, consumers, partners, clients- can get personified access to the functional program product through the web- companies.
Main subsystems
- Corporate information system (CIS) automates the basic economic activity functions of the enterprise, gives opportunity for making a detailed analysis of the enterprise’s financial status and for planning its future development based on this analysis.
- Automated process control system (APCS) automates specific production functions of the enterprise
- Automated documentation handling system (ADHS) organizes documentation communication both between units of the operator and with external enterprises.
- Information security system (ISS) ensures the required level of security of information stored and processed in the system
